Community Guidelines
Last updated: October 14, 2026
Curated Lovers is built on trust. Every member passes an interview, an ID check, and a background check before we introduce them to anyone. That gets you in the door. How you treat people once you're here is what keeps you in. These guidelines apply everywhere: on blind dates, at events, in messages, and with our matchmakers and staff.
1. Consent and boundaries
This comes first, always.
• Consent is clear, freely given, and can be withdrawn at any time. Silence is not a yes.
• A "no," a "not tonight," or a change of mind ends the conversation. Don't push, bargain, or guilt-trip.
• Someone who is very drunk cannot consent. Neither can anyone being pressured.
• Never touch someone who hasn't welcomed it. That includes a kiss at the end of the night.
• Never send sexual images or messages nobody asked for. Never share or threaten to share intimate images of anyone.
If you're not sure, ask. If you're still not sure, don't.
2. Be who you said you are
Our matchmakers introduce you based on what you told them. So tell the truth.
• Use your real identity, the same one you verified with us.
• Share recent, unedited photos that show your face clearly. No filters that change how you look, no old photos, no AI-generated or AI-enhanced images.
• Be honest about your age, relationship status, intentions, and where you live.
• One person, one account. No duplicates, no sharing, no signing up for someone else.
If your date wouldn't recognize you when you walk in, something's wrong.
3. Respect, always
Treat everyone the way you'd want your sister, brother, or best friend treated.
Not allowed:
• Insults, threats, intimidation, or mocking someone's looks or body.
• Contacting someone again after they've said they're not interested. One clear "no" is enough.
• Showing up uninvited, following someone, or searching for their home or workplace.
• Manipulation, blackmail, or controlling behavior.
• Discrimination or slurs based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or age.
• Being rude or abusive to our matchmakers and staff.
4. On the date and at events
We pick public venues for a reason. Help us keep them good.
• Meet at the venue we arranged. Don't move the date to a private place on the first meeting.
• Arrange your own transport, and tell a friend where you'll be.
• Drink responsibly. Being drunk is never an excuse for bad behavior. Don't pressure anyone to drink, and never tamper with anyone's drink.
• Be kind to waiters, hosts, and venue staff. They're part of the evening too.
• No weapons, no illegal drugs, no violence of any kind.
• If something feels wrong, leave. You owe no one an explanation. Venue staff can help, and in an emergency call local emergency services (123 in Colombia).
5. Money and scams
Curated Lovers is for meeting people, not selling to them.
• Never ask another member for money, gifts, loans, investments, or bank details.
• Never send money to someone you met through us, whatever story they tell.
• No selling, recruiting, promoting your business or social media, or fundraising.
If someone asks you for money, report it. It's one of the clearest signs of a scam.
6. Privacy
What you learn on a date stays between the two of you.
• Don't share another member's name, photos, contact details, or anything they told you, whether online, in group chats, or anywhere else.
• Don't screenshot or record anyone without their permission.
• Protect yourself, too. Keep your home address, workplace, and financial details private until you've built real trust.
7. Show up
Someone is planning their evening around you. So are we.
• Be on time. If you're running late, let your matchmaker know.
• Need to cancel or reschedule? Do it from your dashboard at least 48 hours before. Cancelling later, or not showing up, may cost you the booking fee and affect future bookings.
• Respond to your matchmaker and take your introductions seriously. Repeated no-shows, ghosting, or going silent may mean we stop matching you.
8. Reporting
If something happens that breaks these guidelines, tell us. You're helping the next person too.
• After a date: use the "Anything that felt off or made you uncomfortable?" question in your post-date feedback. It goes straight to our safety team.
• Anytime: tell your matchmaker or write to hello[at]curated-lovers.com.
• Emergencies: contact local authorities first, then us.
Reports are confidential. We won't tell the other person who reported them unless the law requires it. We review every report and may contact you for details.
False or malicious reports, including reporting someone just because of who they are, are themselves a violation.
9. What happens if someone breaks the rules
We act based on how serious the behavior is and whether it's happened before:
• Warning: for minor, first-time issues.
• Suspension: we pause your matching and bookings while we review.
• Permanent removal: for serious or repeated violations. You will not be allowed to rejoin, and fees may not be refunded.
Behavior outside our dates and events counts too if it affects our members' safety. In serious cases, such as violence, sexual assault, or threats, we remove the member immediately and cooperate with the authorities.
Think we got it wrong? Write to hello[at]curated-lovers.com within 30 days with your side of the story. A different team member will review your appeal.
