At 6:15 a message arrives. It has an address, a time and a first name. That is all you get. We choose to keep it short because the less you know, the less you rehearse.
At 7:40 you walk into a bar with no sign on the door. The table is by the window. Your matchmaker has already been there, checked the light and moved the candle. Someone has had to think about where you will sit.
At 7:55 you see each other for the first time. There is no photo to compare against. Nobody is scrolling. The evening has a beginning, and it belongs to the two of you.
Tomorrow your matchmaker will call. Tonight, just go.
